Climbing for Climate Seventh edition

Climbing for Climate (CFC) is an initiative organized by the RUS and the Italian Alpine Club (CAI) to raise local, national, and international public awareness of the effects of ongoing climate change in light of the goals of the UN 2030 Agenda, specifically: combating climate change (SDG 13) and promoting life on land/protecting biodiversity (SDG 15), as well as promoting sustainable tourism (SDG 8), the social and economic inclusion of those living in remote areas (SDG 10), and supporting sustainable communities (SDG 11).

Now in its seventh edition, CFC7 has a "national" dimension, with the event promoted and coordinated by the University of Brescia in collaboration with the RUS Piedmontese Universities and the University of Valle d'Aosta. The event is also supported by Acqua Novara VCO, the Municipality of Alagna Valsesia, Monterosa 2000 S.p.A., the Alagna Valsesia Tourist Office, Unione Alagnese, and Visit Monterosa. This year, the CFC will take place on September 6-7 on Monte Rosa.

Since 2024, the "widespread" version of the initiative will be called Action for Climate, with events organized locally by RUS universities.

The Action for Climate initiatives will soon also be available on this page.
